On June 26, the NBA G League announced the 2019-20 All-NBA G League Teams, All-Rookie Team, and All-Defensive Team. The league’s 28 head coaches and general managers selected each team.
The All-NBA G League First Team is headlined by NBA G League Most Valuable Player, Frank Mason III, of the Wisconsin Herd. He is joined alongside his teammate Jaylen Adams, Jarrell Brantley (Salt Lake City Stars), Devontae Cacok (South Bay Lakers), and Jarrod Uthoff (Memphis Hustle).
The All-NBA G League Second Team includes Josh Magette and B.J. Johnson, both of the Lakeland Magic. G League Rookie of the Year Tremont Waters (Maine Red Claws) is also included, along with Donta Hall (Grand Rapids Drive), and Johnathan Motley (Aqua Caliente Clippers).
Marial Shayok (Delaware Blue Coats) headlines the All-NBA G League Third Team. He is joined by Justin Anderson (Long Island Nets), Dusty Hannahs (Memphis Hustle), Jemerrio Jones (Wisconsin Herd), and Vic Law (Lakeland Magic).
13 of the 15 players on the three NBA G League Teams have competed in the NBA, as well as the G League, throughout the 2019-20 campaign.
G League Rookie of the Year, of course, features in the NBA G League All-Rookie Team. Jarrell Brantley (Salt Lake City), Devontae Cacok (South Bay Lakers), Donta Hall (Grand Rapids Drive), and Marial Shayok (Delaware Blue Coats) round out the selections.
The 2019-20 NBA G League Defensive Player of the Year, Christ Koumadje, leads the NBA G League All-Defensive Team. Joining him is Tacko Fall (Maine Red Claws), Tra-Deon Hollins (Grand Rapids Drive), Sir’Dominic Pointer (Canton Charge), and Kenny Wooten (Westchester Knicks).
The G League was initially suspended on March 12, before the rest of the 2019-20 season was canceled on June 4, due to COVID-19. The season was scheduled to conclude on March 28.
